In Loving Memory of My Dad on Father's Day!

Dad, it has been a little over a month
since I lost you. On this special day
and everyday I know that you
are watching over me....
"Happy Father's Day Dad"
I love and miss you dearly!!

For those who may not know my father past
away May 14th at the age of 85.
He was a wonderful man with a heart
of gold.....He was truly blessed and
will be missed so very much!!!

Back from WI

I went up to WI this past Wed. for a
belated 85th birthday surprise for

my dad, his b-day was 4/20.
As it turned out we landed up putting
my dad back in the hospital, he has an
ulcer on his butt/tailbone that was
cultured and came back positive
for MRSA :(
Poor thing also needs to have surg. on a couple
of hernias and was just diagnosed with
parkinson's dz., so he has a long road
ahead of him!!
I came home yesterday and we are heading
out to the lake this afternoon....but will
be checking frequently on dad.
Getting Old is HELL!!!
This picture was taken when my parents
were down last year and spent
the winter with us. I didn't want to take
a pic of dad in the hospital...he looks so frail.

Happy Easter!

Saturday 4/11 was the 11th annual
Mighty Texas Dog Walk
This was our 2nd year to walk & again
we had a great time.
It was a cool & cloudy day but compared
to last year when it was so blasted
HOT...this was perfect weather
for the dogs!!!

fella still wanted to cool the tootsies!

it's awesome to see so many different
breeds of dogs in one place at the
same time.....

short, tall, pudgy & thin.....they all come
for one cause, to raise money
to train service dogs.

Even this beautiful German Shepard
with her own disability came
out to do her part!
(left leg amputated)

it was a great turn out... i don't know if
we broke the world record though

they even came in wagons......
"cheaters-heehee!!"

we'll let this choc. lab slide....i'm not
sure but it may have some hip/leg
problems, as i never saw it get out
of the wagon, not even at the finish line.
what a sweet face!!!

we're happy to report that maddie
did much better this year...maybe
it's the few lbs. she lost or the
cooler temps.....anyway

Easter morning started off rainy
but by 1100am the sun came out
and the temp is 74 degrees.
It's turned out to be a
beautiful day!
