We spent a very HOT 4th of July
at the family farm.
Lots of good food and conversation,
but who invited the Canadians???
we brought gizzie's pool so she could
take a few dips to stay cool,
can you tell...she looks like a wet rat!
Yum-Yum....
Maddie, was it good???
Bo and Buddy in the trailer...the boys
going for a ride....
BoBo....I think you've had
enough to drink..heehee!!
Mike and Buddy
trying to stay cool in the shade!!

Evelyn and her husband Donald
Gordon (r) decided to stay longer
this year before heading back to
Canada......Last's probably why
it's been so BLASTED HOT!!!
that would be my hubby....goof!

Last week we were on vacation, if you want
to call it that....we were out at the lake
working on the lot, even in the 100+
degree temps, yes that would be
called brain damage!!
However we hired someone to trench,
level and spread the road base.

There is so much sand out there that
as soon as he would trench it out
the sand would fall back in...
Louie trying to keep up with the sand,
what a mess.....
Finally we would water the sand
down first in order to make progress!!

Finally the electric, water and septic
lines are in.....YEH!! When we left
on Sun. we parked the RV at it's
new home.....so it's offical, we now have
a lake house (sort of). But I forgot
to take pics of the final project.....
we'll get some this weekend!
After a few hard working days at
the lot in the incredible heat it
was time for some COOL play
time in the water with the kids!!
Gizzie Girl looking for
her Frisbee????
Mom with the kids.....and of course
a cool beverage!!
Gizmo enjoying the water :)
Yep...buddy's on his way out....enough
water for him, for a lab he is not
very fond of swimming. Once his paws
no longer touch bottom, his eyes get
huge and a hint of fear is seen on his face,
probably a bad experience as a pup...
but we'll keep
working with him.
With 31 straight days of temps over
100 degrees the lake was
like bath water in some areas.....
still relaxing all the same!!!
